Washington State football dominated the Apple Cup across the street at Husky Stadium in Washington, and Wazoo fans were sure to make their mark.

Over the past decade—and indeed throughout the rivalry’s history—the Washington Huskies have dominated the Washington State Cougars in the Apple Cup. On Friday night, Washington state football had scored just one win against its state foes in the past 11 years.

They changed the course of recent history at Husky Stadium, however, with an impressive victory, Wazoo’s 40–13 victory, their biggest win in Apple Cup history.

In what could have been a disastrous season for the Wazoo, given the dismissal of head coach Nick Rolovich amid controversy, the Cougar showed tremendous resilience and actually got better down the stretch, as evidenced by the Apple Cup win. They now finish the season at 7-5 and await their bowl-game luck.
