It would not be a rivalry game when the players are jittery and talk a lot before, during and after the game. That was the case before Florida and FSU played.
Bowl-eligibility is on the line when Florida and FSU meet this afternoon. Normally, these two former powers would be playing with implications for the national championship.
But not this year for the Gators who fired Dan Mullen on Sunday and for the Seminoles whose fans wanted to fire Mike Norwell after a terrible start.
The Seminoles have regrouped and are one win away from being bowl-eligible. The Gators are slightly favorites over their in-state rivals, but does anyone on the team really want to be here and play a game?
If the pre-game scene is any indication, both teams want to go with the win.
Florida, Florida State players warm up before rivalry game
The players from Florida and FSU got a little jittery as they exchanged their joys with the players. However, it doesn’t look like it extended to throwing fists and taking out players or anything like that. It’s a little hot, which is what you’d expect from a rivalry game.
This is the ultimate rivalry. There is a lot of motivation from both the sides to win this match.
The Florida-FSU game will be broadcast on ESPN.
